YAS aims to increase international focus
28 June 2012

Kristoffer Löf, Mannheimer Swartling, and Johan Sidklev, Setterwalls, were elected as new board members at the annual meeting of Young Arbitrators Stockholm (YAS) in Stockholm on 14 June 2012.

“The new setup expands the board's international scope, while we also will benefit from a slight rejuvenation”, said YAS chair Therese Isaksson in a comment. “Going forward, YAS will focus on involving young people in Sweden's effort to become a more visible player in other markets. We will continue to build excellence in arbitration law and create networking opportunities where young Swedish lawyers can make new international contacts”, she continued.

Sitting board members Linn Bergman, SCC, and Therese Isaksson, Lindahl, were reelected for a new two year term. At the same time, Sara Ribbeklint, MAQS, and Andreas Eriksson, were elected as accountant and deputy accountant respectively for YAS. They all have extensive experience with international dispute resolution. In addition, they have contributed greatly to confirming Sweden’s position as a leading arbitration venue.

At the inaugural board meeting, Therese Isaksson was reappointed chairperson of the board, which consists of Linn Bergman, SCC; Pontus Ewerlöf, Cederquist; Kristoffer Löf, Mannheimer Swartling; Johan Sidklev, Setterwalls; and Rikard Wikström, White & Case.

YAS is an association in cooperation with the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC). The association was founded in 2003 and engages over 400 members across the globe. YAS aims to increase the knowledge and interest amongst young practitioners in the field of international arbitration and is engaged in enhancing Sweden as seat of arbitration in cross border disputes.
