Save the Date: Euro-Arab Investor - State Dispute Settlement — Recent Developments and Future Perspectives
The conference will be held on 10-11 October 2012 and will bring together government officials from Sweden and Egypt, representatives from the European Commission and experienced practitioners. Annette Magnusson, Secretary General of the SCC, Johan Gernandt, Chairman of the SCC Board, and Mohamed Abdel Raouf, SCC Board Member, are amongst the speakers that will participate in the conference.
The SCC has developed into one of the leading centres for the resolution of investment treaty disputes. Since 1993, the SCC has administered or acted as appointing authority in fifty investment arbitrations emanating from multilateral and bilateral investment protection agreements, as well as from direct agreements. More than 120 investment treaties signed by more than 64 states, including many from the Arab world, today list the SCC as one of the institution to assist investors and states in resolving their treaty disputes.
