Conference in Ukraine: current issues and trends in arbitration

On 12-13 October 2012, a conference will be held in Odessa, Ukraine, to discuss current issues and trends in international commercial arbitration and to share the European and Ukrainian experiences in the field. Organizers are the National University Odessa Law Academy, the SCC, the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), Arzinger Law Firm, Ukraine, and Lindahl, Sweden.

Attendees will hear from leading experts from Sweden and Ukraine on important topics, such as Stockholm and Kiev as effective arbitral seats, dispute resolution under the institutional rules of the SCC and the ICAC, the relationships between international arbitration institutes, national arbitration institutions and national courts. Panelists will also share their experiences in handling recurring issues, such as confidentiality, working with foreign counsels and choice of law and highlight specific areas of disputes.

The conference will be held at the Odessa Law Academy, National University, and speakers include Bo G.H. Nilsson, Senior Partner, Lindahl; Natalia Petrik, SCC Legal Counsel; Jesper Tiberg, Partner, Lindahl; and Mikhail Petrik, Senior Adviser, Lindahl.
