Report from the 2013 Stockholm Pre-Moot

Eleven university teams from ten different countries recently gathered in Stockholm to participate in the 2013 Stockholm Pre-Moot.

For  second  year  in a  row, the  winner of  the Pre-Moot  was Heidelberg  University, composed by team members Dominik Stefer, Matei Foit, Lennart Reber, Yoo-Yin Kim, Yashan Huang, Tobias Braun and coached by Björn Centner. This time Heidelberg swept the board, taking home the prize for best oralist (Yashan Huang) and second best oralist (Lennart Reber) as well. After a close final, Helsinki University placed second, and Tartu University was awarded third place.

This was the 5th version of the Pre-Moot, jointly organized by Mannheimer Swartling and Stockholm University. In addition, SCC opens the Pre-Moot every year with a conference for all participants.

The Stockholm team
The Stockholm team is known for its internationality, and this year is no exception. The team consists of students from the Master of International Commercial Arbitration Law program: Di Wang (China), Nadia Smahi (Switzerland), Love Simonsson (Sweden), Romans Vikis (Latvia) and Youyou Jiang (China).

SCC congratulates all participating teams and wishes them success at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna!
