STATISTICS 2007

In year 2007 the SCC received 170 new cases involving parties from almost 30 countries. The caseload has increased compared to recent years and the SCC experiences a great interest in SCC’s services and arbitration as a dispute resolution method. Further, the SCC humbly notes that the new SCC Arbitration Rules, that entered into force on 1 January 2007, seems to meet the practitioners’ demand for a flexible, safe and cost efficient way to solve commercial dispute. Further, Stockholm and the SCC continues to be an attractive venue to solve so-called East West disputes involving parties from former CIS republics and China.
