Stockholm International Arbitration Review (SIAR) |
The Stockholm International Arbitration Review (SIAR) - formerly Stockholm Arbitration Report (SAR) - is published three times a year by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, and marketed by Juris Publishing, Inc., New York. General Editor of SIAR is Mr. Stephen Bond, partner, White & Case, Paris.
SIAR covers topical subjects in international arbitration, and includes both extracts from awards and decisions, articles and book reviews, all commented upon or written by distinguished arbitrators, lawyers, justices and other legal professionals.
SAR Cumulative Index It is now possible to download the cumulative index covering the first five years of the Stockholm Arbitration Report. In it you will find the author of an article, the name of a party to a court case, and the arbitral award you are looking for by directing yourself to the respective heading. The major part of the publication consists of an analytical index of arbitral awards. The analytical index referes to the first page of the award and not necessarily the page where the point in question is to be found.

Covering more than twenty different jurisdictions, the decisions are commented upon by distinguished arbitrators, lawyers, justices and other legal professionals.
SCC Arbitral Awards - 1999-2003 The publication contains the texts of all arbitral awards from the SCC Institute that have been published in SAR between 1999 and 2003. The awards are commented upon by leading international arbitration experts.
Investment Arbitration and the Energy Charter Treaty The Conference on Investment Arbitration and the Energy Charter Treaty, co-organised in Stockholm on 9 and 10 June 2005 by the Energy Charter Secretariat and the SCC Institute, reflected the growing importance of investment arbitration. This was the first international conference specifically addressing questions of investment arbitration in relation to the Energy Charter Treaty. Given the interest, a publication of the proceedings of the Conference has now been published.
The Swedish Arbitration Act of 1999, Five Years On: A Critical Review of Strengths and Weaknesses On 7 and 8 October 2004 the Stockholm Arbitration Report (SAR), as the Stockholm International Arbitration Review was then called, and the Institute of Arbitration Law at the University of Stockholm invited arbitration experts from all over the world to a Conference in Stockholm to discuss the Swedish Arbitration Act which in 2004 had been effective for five years. Co-sponsor of the Conference was, among several other institutions and organisations, the SCC Institute. The proceedings of the Conference have now been published.
Commercial Arbitration in Sweden, 3rd edition - A commentary on the Arbitration Act (1999:116) and the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. "It gives a comprehensive and current account of arbitration law and practice in Sweden, including the rules and practice of the SCC. Of particular importance for the readers is that the book records the developments since the Swedish arbitration reform in 1999. The book should prove valuable to both legal practitioners and scholars." - the foreword to the first edition by Ulf Franke. |
